Three Ways Your Artwork Investment Benefits the Community

Art Force MSP is our commitment to give back to the local community. We strive to embed ourselves in the “Creative City” of MSP by focusing on three areas:

  1. 1. Building our community through outreach and charitable contributions.
  2. 2. Supporting creative professionals through patronage and entrepreneurial education.
  3. 3. Empowering health challenged artists through our Wings program.

Our offerings, including creative project management, comprehensive art management and subscription finance program, all help us support the creative professionals that provide us with art and enable us to provide charitable contributions and events. Since inception, Art Force has worked with over 150 clients and over 1,000 artists to place over 30,000 pieces of art nationwide. Each piece placed has allowed us to host community outreach events, champion health challenged artists, and contribute over $100,000 to more than 20 charitable and non-profit organizations since 2013. Some of the causes we have supported include:

  • – At-risk youth outreach with Bolder Options
  • – Support for people experiencing homelessness with Simpson Housing
  • – Holiday toy donations with Toys for Tots
  • – Artists with autism through the Fraser organization
  • – Individuals experiencing mental illness in our community with People Incorporated
  • – Art lessons for critically ill children and their families with Breanna’s Gift

Below we feature some of our work with Bolder Options and a young autistic artist with Fraser. You can see the full list of organizations we’ve contributed to here.

Community Building with At-Risk Youth

In the past year, Art Force has partnered with Bolder Options to host events for at-risk youth. Bolder Options is a non profit organization that pairs referred youth with mentors to teach them healthy life skills and positive choices. Our events have included a biking tour of the many murals in the NE Minneapolis Arts District, a water color workshop taught by our own Steve Brumbaugh, and a yoga class in our venture lab. Youth outreach is an important part of building our community and Art Force is proud to partner with Bolder Options.

A Young Man with Autism Speaks Through His Art

The Wings program gives individuals living with health challenges the opportunity to create art in partnership with non-profits who offer supportive services and arts programming. Art Force then sells this unique artwork and proceeds from the sale benefit both the individuals and the organizations. Devin Wildes found his voice through art – quite literally.

Through the strength of family and his passion for his art, Devin has been able to tell his story. Below you can see a video of Devin and his mother, AJ Paron-Wildes speak for the 2017 Peace Love Peace of Mind Story Tellers Conference.

“When he started doing art, the one thing that we noticed was that he was really in his own skin. And you can see… that pride that is resonating throughout his body.” – AJ Paron-Wildes, Devin’s Mother

A portion of all pieces Devin sells through Art Force are donated to Fraser. Fraser is an organization dedicated to serving children and adults with special needs through education, healthcare and housing services.
