Art-A-Whirl Edition: May 20th -22nd

This weekend is the 21st edition of Art-A-Whirl here in Northeast Minneapolis. With countless studios, exhibits, and shows to attend, it would take much more than just a weekend to see all the great events taking place. Below we highlight just three of the weekend’s events that have caught our attention. For more information on Art-A-Whirl, check out our recent blog.

Water Bar & Public Studio

Throughout the weekend, Water Bar & Public Studio will have a lineup of water bartenders to discuss local water and their various experiences with it. There will also be a screen printing workshop led by Works Progress where participants will have the opportunity to create a water drop print and take it home. Plus, a pop-up market with posters, prints, and publications for sale will be hosted in the space. Finally, there will be a “tap water clinic” done in collaboration with several local water advocacy groups where you may bring a sample of water from home and have it tested for lead and other contaminants. These results will be beneficial to visitors but will also contribute to Water Bar’s in-studio tap map.
