Art Force is an emerging growth venture based in the NE Minneapolis Arts District and is the #1 arts based employer. Since inception in September 2009 we have delivered more than 30,000 pieces of artwork to hundreds of institutional clients in 42 states.

Production Manager

I. PROFILE AND DESCRIPTION

Art Force provides turnkey art procurement services to organizations nationwide.

The Production Manager works with the production, administration, and sales teams to fulfill the goals of Art Force and its clients. The production unit is a profit center for Art Force and the Production Manager has P & L responsibility.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Report to Art Force Operations, Zoe Bailey

· Understand and adhere to the Art Force Values, Mission, and Client Service Policy

· Hire, train, and supervise production staff including installation staff

· Track staff hours for purposes of payroll and PTO reporting

· Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting

· Attend company meetings and training sessions

· Meet with sales force as needed to create solutions to fulfill particular or general client needs

· Manage scheduling, packing, and tracking of all shipments and manage associated paperwork

· Manage scheduling and tracking of all installs and manage associated paperwork

· Work with Production Coordinator to manage production materials costs and procurement

· Manage documentation of labor costs

· Work with Production Coordinator to plan and complete standard and non-standard orders and projects

· Maintain system of LEAN Six Sigma manufacturing workflow

· Maintain production employee wellness program including exercises and task rotation

· Oversee maintenance of production space, design, and equipment

· Back-up in Production department, including installations as needed

· Other duties as assigned

III. SKILLS AND TRAITS

· LEAN Six Sigma Certified

· Project Management training and experience

· Leadership skills

· High Emotional Intelligence

· Good problem-solving abilities

· Valid driver’s license with good driving record & proof of personal insurance

· Good math skills

· Excellent customer service skills

· Professional appearance as a representative of AF

· Strong work ethic and principle centered

· Team player

· Willingness to help out wherever needed

· Education: College degree or equivalent life experience required

IV. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds

· Must be comfortable using ladders & scaffolding

· Must have ability to use power tools

· Will perform repetitive tasks

V. COMPENSATION

· Hourly position. Individual may need to work more than scheduled hours to achieve company goals or deadlines

· Company contribution to individual health insurance
