Hosted at the American Craft Council, the Minneapolis Art Lending Library (MALL) will have its next lending hours this Friday, where patrons can select from a collection of over 90 artworks.  The evening will also feature an interactive installation by Carolina Borja, titled Better a bird in the hand than two in the bush. Borja’s work consists of a papier maché piñata, and the artist will be present during the event to answer questions. Established in 2013, MALL aims to support and promote the the arts through the free lending of artwork. Additionally, MALL hopes to change the outlook of ownership of art: once patrons experience having art in their homes for a brief period of time, they will hopefully be more inclined to buy art in the future.
