Bill has over 25 years of experience in business development and management.
He founded the angel investment firm Aurora Capital Group in 1996 following a 15-year career with American Express Financial Advisors, where he built a wealth advisory division overseeing a staff of over 150 who managed more than $4 billion in assets.
He is a co-author of Assembling the Pieces for a Successful Business Venture and was a keynote speaker for the Venture Capital Best Practices Conference. The topic of his speech was Developing Products with Commercial Value. Both publications are available for sale at Amazon.com.
He holds a degree in Business Management from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota where he is a regular guest speaker at the Opus College of Business. He has completed executive development courses in Venture Management at the Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois and has participated as a member of the Minnesota Venture Capital Association and has been a board member of public and private companies.
Bill and Laura Kieger have been married for 32 years and have 3 children: Alexander, a radiologist at Johns Hopkins Hospital who serves on the Art Force healthcare advisory board, Kelsey, who lives in San Francisco and is a Sales Manager for Touch of Modern and Adele who works at Art Force on the SmartArt Team. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time at the family cabin on Lake Vermilion, snowboarding and snowshoeing, windsurfing, biking, hiking with the family dog Huckleberry and Minnesota Twins baseball.
